We sell data protection for a living, so this notice is written to be read rather than to be survived.
Who we are
KnightGrid is operated by ByteKnight Security Private Limited, registered in Gurgaon, Haryana. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we act as a Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here.

What we collect
Through this website we collect only what you give us. That means the name, work email, phone number, company and message you enter on the contact form, and — if you use the Grid Score assessment — the answers you select and the resulting score.
Our servers log standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent and timestamp for security and abuse prevention. We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to anyone.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, to prepare a scope and a price, and to keep a record of the conversation in our own CRM so the next person you speak to already knows the context.
Grid Score answers are used to produce your result and to inform the recommendation we make. We do not publish, share or resell individual assessments.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for twenty-four months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted unless a contract requires otherwise. Grid Score submissions that never become an enquiry are deleted after twelve months.
Client telemetry handled under a services agreement is governed by that agreement and its data processing addendum, not by this notice.
Where it lives
Personal data collected through this site is stored in Indian regions by default. Where a sub-processor operates outside India, we will name it in the data processing addendum before any transfer takes place.
Your rights
You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, or withdraw consent you previously gave. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent — one email is enough.
Write to info@byteknightsecurity.com and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
